CMSF High School holds annual Wall of Fame Ceremony

CARRIER MILLS - Carrier Mills-Stonefort High School held its annual Wall of Fame Ceremony on May 5, 2021.

In a normal year, meaning no pandemic, the high school would hold this very unique ceremony in either October or November. It is unique because most awards ceremonies are featured at the end of the school year or at the end of a sports season. This ceremony normally takes place at the beginning of the year. However, with the restrictions that were placed on the school at the beginning of the year, the school could not have the ceremony at that time, so it was postponed until an audience could be in attendance.

Any sophomore, junior or senior who maintains a 4.25 cumulative grade-point average or higher is inducted into the Wall of Fame. These students are given a certificate and an 8 x 10 photograph hangs in the hallway until next year's ceremony. Any freshman who completes their junior high years with an overall grade-point average of 85% or higher is inducted into the Potential Wall of Fame. A group photo is taken of the eligible freshmen, which also hangs in the main hallway.
