Nancy A. Genisio of Du Quoin

Nancy A. Genisio, 85, of Du Quoin, passed away at 5 p.m. on Monday, May 3, 2021 at the SIH Memorial Hospital at Carbondale.

Nancy was the office manager for Perry County Public Aid. She was a member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Du Quoin.

She was born July 29, 1935 at Du Quoin, Illinois, the daughter of James Angel and Ida Frances (Licata) Genisio.

Nancy is survived by two cousins, Rick (Lou Ann) Licata of Makanda, Illinois and Jo Karen Licata (wife Dana Pilon) of Arlington, Texas.

She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, James Angel Genisio Jr.

Per Nancy's request, cremation rites were accorded. Graveside services will be held at a later date at the Sacred Heart Cemetery in Du Quoin.

In lieu of flowers, friends are invited to make memorials to Masses or to the Sacred Heart Cemetery. These will be accepted at the funeral home.
