PCHS seniors gather for baccalaureate service at Du Quoin Fairgrounds

With continued COVID-related restrictions on large indoor gatherings, the Pinckneyville Ministerial Alliance coordinated with leadership at the Du Quoin State Fairgrounds to hold the PCHS Baccalaureate Service in the outdoor Grandstand venue on Sunday.

The unique gathering place allowed for a traditional service that included hymns accompanied by Tod Rushing and the Rev. Rob Mathis on guitar, scripture readings by senior class officers, a PCHS choral selection, a message by Oak Grove Baptist Church Pastor Rob Mathis, prayers by area pastors, and a slideshow of graduates' baby and senior pictures.

Seniors' families gathered at a safe social distance to encourage their graduates to continue in community service.
