Pet of the Week Chad is just a happy, handsome boy
Chad is a youngster with lots of energy. He is somewhere between 8 and 12 months old, weighs 20 pounds, and was found as a stray. He might get bigger; that's still up for debate!
Chad is doing OK with the other dogs here, but he would need a meet-and-greet with any dogs in his new home. We think he would probably enjoy the energy of a child in his new home. He loves to jump right now, but he's also young and trainable, so there's room for improvement! We have not cat-tested him.
If you think this happy, handsome boy is the one for you, fill out an application at www.shelterluv.com/embed/animal/PCIL-A-75.
Please know that if you come to meet any of the dogs at our facility, they may be excited to see you and extra active. Many times, this is not a true picture of how they may act in a warm, safe home setting.
We, as volunteers, often take our shelter dogs on home visits and they become calm and act like completely different animals. This pertains to bathroom habits and demeanor. Please realize that they need a chance to shine out of the shelter setting.
If you have specific questions about Chad, email the shelter volunteer at pchsinfo@yahoo.com or go to www.perrycountyhumanesocietyil.com to apply.
