Carrier Mills-Stonefort High School celebrates Homecoming Spirit Week

CARRIER MILLS - The Carrier Mills-Stonefort High School held its Homecoming Spirit Week from March 22-26.

Each day had a different theme in which students participated.

On March 22 the students dressed in their purple and gold Wildcat gear. On Tuesday, they dressed as their favorite celebrity or fictional character. March 25 was "Wear Red for 'Remember Everyone Deployed Day,'" and the week concluded with Blast from the Past or Favorite Decade Day.

During the week, students decorated the classroom doors for the Spirit Door Competition. The theme this year was Childhood Nostalgia, so the students decorated their assigned classroom doors with their favorite childhood television shows or movies. The freshman class decorated Mr. Motsinger and Mr. Manier's classroom doors with the movies "UP" and "Cars," the sophomores decorated Mrs. Pappenfuss and Mr. Klope's doors with "Toy Story," the junior class decorated Mrs. Anderson and Mrs. Mitchell's classroom doors with "Victorious," and the seniors decorated Mrs. Craig and Mrs. Kuhlmann's doors with SpongeBob SquarePants and "The Sandlot." The teachers voted on their favorite door and the Spirit Door winners were the seniors.

This was the eighth homeroom challenge of the year. The class with the most points after the final PBIS Event of the year will win a pizza party on April 30. After eight events, the senior class is in first place with 76 points, the juniors are in second place with 54 points, the sophomore class is in third place with 52 points and the freshmen are in fourth place with 42 points.
