Heartland Regional to host National Guard COVID-19 vaccine event April 12 in Marion
MARION - The Illinois National Guard continues to expand its COVID-19 vaccination efforts in Southern Illinois by announcing a temporary vaccination site at Heartland Regional Medical Center in Marion.
The next clinic is scheduled for Monday, April 12, beginning at 8 a.m.
Vaccinations will be provided to as many as 500 eligible people. Anyone 18 years of age or older is eligible to be vaccinated.
Vaccinations will be provided on a first-come-first-serve basis. Appointments are not required.
"At this time, we don't know which of the three approved vaccines, Pfizer, Moderna or Johnson and Johnson, the Illinois National Guard will be providing on April 12," said Heartland Regional Emergency Manager Nikolas Fort. "We encourage the public to monitor Heartland Regional Medical Center's Facebook page for updates."
Heartland Regional Medical Center is located at 3333 W. DeYoung St. in Marion.
