Disc golf course meets the public

About 20 people gathered at Cole Memorial Park in Chester on March 22 to cut the ribbon that celebrates Chester's certified disc golf course.

Designed by Chester High School senior Jarrett James, it was built by Billy Belton's park staff and assisted by the Chester Street Department and other city employees.

Patti Carter of the Chester Recreation Department has been instrumental in fostering the project and led the ribbon-cutting ceremony along with Mayor Tom Page. It is hoped that the course will be fully operational in April, weather permitting.
