<b>Metten of Du Quoin named to honor's list</b>

The University of Hartford (Hartford, Connecticut), has named Lily Metten of Du Quoin to its President's Honors List for Fall 2020. The President's Honors List is a extremely select group of students who earned a grade point average of 3.75 or higher in the semester. This is the GPA that must be sustained over a full undergraduate career to qualify for a degree summa cum laude.

The Super Wash car wash at 755 S. Washington St. in Du Quoin is going to become a Wooly Wash. The Du Quoin City County approved a redevelopment agreement with Ewenified Properties LLC, which will bring southern Illinois's 12th Wooly Wash to Du Quoin. Other locations are in Benton, Carbondale (2), Carmi, Carterville, Harrisburg, Marion (2), Mt. Vernon (2) and West Frankfort.
