Norma L. 'Cookie' Wilkins of Carrier Mills

Norma L. "Cookie" Wilkins, 83, of Carrier Mills, passed away at 12:30 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 10, 2021 at her residence.

She was born in Stonefort on Feb. 27, 1937, the daughter of the late Earl King and Ruth (Holmes) King.

Cookie married Charles Wendell Wilkins and he preceded her in death on July 24, 2011.

Her working career included Harrisburg Manufacturing, Shawnee Restaurant, and the Carrier Mills Nursing & Rehab Center.

She is survived by her son, Jeff (Parys) Wilkins of Carrier Mills; grandchildren, Tiffany Walker Gurley of Grayson, Georgia and Cameron (Emily) Cole of Herrin; great-grandchildren, Jaxson Dickey, Alexis Dickey, Mollie Cline and Mason Cole; several nieces and nephews; and her special friend and companion, Cleta Keith.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and sister, Rose King.

Private services will be held with the Rev. Ownly Williams officiating. Burial will be in the Salem Cemetery in Carrier Mills.

Arrangements are entrusted to Absher-Nicholson Funeral Home in Carrier Mills.
