Alyson Duncan of Harrisburg

Alyson Duncan, 81, of Harrisburg died at 4:19 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 19, 2020 at Harrisburg Medical Center.

Private family graveside services will be held. There will be no visitation at this time. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Burial will be in Sunset Garden Cemetery in Harrisburg. Felty Funeral Home in Carrier Mills is assisting the family with the details.

She was born on Aug. 28, 1939 in Harrisburg to the late Ted and Lillie (Taborn) Taylor.

She married William Gaylen Duncan on March 5, 1957 and he survives.

Alyson was retired from East Side Elementary School in Harrisburg, where she worked for more than 20 years as a cook. She was a member of the Landmark House of Praise in Carrier Mills. She loved to spend time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She also loved to bake whenever she found the chance.

Alyson is survived by her husband, William Gaylen Duncan of Harrisburg; three children, Aubrey (Mary) Duncan of Peoria, Parry (Tina) Duncan of Harrisburg and Monica (Ron) Jones of Peoria; sister, Colleen Gooch of Carrier Mills; brother, Edward Deon Taylor of Elgin; 10 grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.

Alyson was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers, Lawrence Taylor, Dean Taylor and Danny Taylor; and a sister, Johnetta Richards.
