Three Beta Delta members honored with service pins

Members of Beta Delta Chapter of Delta Kappa Gamma Society International met at Fort Kaskaskia State Historic Site overlooking the Mississippi River, recently, careful to observe social distancing as they enjoyed the weather and view.

Members were comfortable in lawn chairs during the business meeting while enjoying warm beverages and breakfast snacks. Creative methods to continue to meet safely were considered.

Three Beta Delta Chapter members were awarded membership pins - Emily Lyons of Chester received a 50-year pin, Anne Bourner of Sparta received a 45-year pin, and Norma Baughman of Chester received a 40-year pin.

Chapter members congratulated these recipients and expressed thanks for their years of service to Beta Delta. An informative program on genealogy was presented by member Emily Lyons and included outlines for beginning a family search.
