Carbondale announces Halloween winners
The city of Carbondale has announced the winners of online Halloween contests that have been ongoing this month.
The winners of the first-ever residential Halloween decorating contest are Kurt and Henry Neubig. Hemp 'N' Stuff was recognized as best-decorated business. The winners receive a $50 gift card to Ace Hardware and a yard sign to display.
Honorable mentions go to Darren Ackerman, Wago Kreider and Jessica Allee.
The city also held a pumpkin carving contest, with the winner receiving a Halloween gift basket.
The winner is 14-year-old Olivia Mathias, and the honorable mention is 11-year-old Brady Pridemore.
