Florida police nab two on Carbondale murder charges
Authorities in Florida have apprehended two suspects wanted in connection with a murder in Carbondale last August.
Carbondale Police announced this week that on Oct. 13, law enforcement in Orange County, Fla., arrested DeVale L. Johnson, 23, of Carbondale and Victor R. Purdiman, 30, of Paducah, Ky., on warrants for first degree murder and aggravated discharge of a firearm.
The two were wanted in connection with the Aug. 17 killing of Jamonte Allison, 44, in the 1000 block of North Robert A. Stalls in Carbondale. Police originally said the death was the result of an ongoing dispute among acquaintances and was connected with another shooting incident in Carbondale that had taken place about three hours earlier.
Johnson and Purdiman are currently incarcerated.
