Du Quoin Garden Club decorates for autumn

The Du Quoin Garden Club has decorated the Croessman Square on Main Street for the season, in a festive autumn theme using straw bales, corn stalks, pumpkins and scarecrows.

Members gathered and transformed the area into a beautiful autumn setting for the community to enjoy.

Another fall activity the Garden Club continues, is to assist the City of Du Quoin by bringing awareness to the fight against breast cancer. October marks the beginning of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, an annual campaign that encourages the knowledge and awareness of the disease.

Pink bows have been added to the community gardens at the Highway 51 South welcome sign, Keyes City Park, the Mini Park/Gazebo on Main Street and Du Quoin Post Office to compliment the City of Du Quoin's display of pink lighting along Main Street.

The Du Quoin Garden Club takes pride in its community.
