Early voting opens

Early voting for the Nov. 3 presidential election opened Thursday at the Perry County Clerk's Office in Pinckneyville, and will continue through Nov. 2 on weekdays and three Saturdays.

The clerk's office is open 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays and 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Tuesdays and Thursdays, through the election. (The office will be closed on Columbus Day, Oct. 12.)

The office will also be open for early voting from 8 a.m. to noon on Saturdays, Oct. 3, 17 and 31. On Tuesday, Oct. 27, early voting will be held at Du Quoin City Hall from 4 to 7 p.m.

The clerk's office is in the Perry County Government Building, 3764 State Routes 13-127, Room 204.
