James R. 'Jimmy' Ditterline of Harrisburg

James R. "Jimmy" Ditterline, 65, of Harrisburg, died at 8:15 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 19, 2020 at Integrity Health Care in Carbondale.

Graveside services will begin at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 23, 2020 at Hogan Cemetery in Shawneetown. There will be no visitation; all friends should go directly to the cemetery. The Rev. Mike Smith will officiate.

Felty Funeral Home in Carrier Mills is assisting the family.

Jimmy was born on Feb. 13, 1955 in Shawneetown to the late Robert Ditterline and Ruby (Newman) White.

Jimmy was a truck driver and a lot of his truck driver friends knew him by the handle "Blackjack."

He is survived by his wife, Terri (Neighbors) Ditterline; three children, Kimberly (Mickie) Horne of Alabama, Jennifer (Kevin) Taylor of Eldorado and James "Ditt" Ditterline of Pensacola, Florida; four stepchildren, Misty, Danetta, Joey and Kendra; three brothers, Bobby (Linda) Ditterline of Oklahoma, Bernie (Jan) Ditterline of Florida and Ralph (Reva) Ditterline of Harrisburg; and several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Katie Lampert; and brother, Charles Ditterline.

Jimmy loved his family and was always a hard worker. He was a good father and husband. Jimmy will be missed by so many. His life was fulfilled with the love of his family and friends.
