New pumper tanker makes debut Chester proudly shows off important new addition to fire department
Chester Fire Chief Marty Bert proudly presented the fire department's new 2020 pumper/tanker for all to see at the open house held on Sept. 13.
The pumper/tanker holds 3,000 gallons of water and will replace two vehicles: a 1987 tanker and the 1986 pumper - which in turn will make more room in the firehouse for other necessary equipment.
The new pumper/tanker costs approximately $700,000 and was approved by the City Council last October. It was delivered about the middle of August.
The truck committee consisted of Captain Lorin Mott, Lt. Charlie Bargman II, Captain Jerre Atchison and firefighters John Powell, Josh Louveau and Jared Meyer.
