Larry Dale Angelly of Harrisburg

Larry Dale Angelly, 69, of Harrisburg, passed away at 1:28 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 15, 2020 at Deaconess Gateway Hospital surrounded by his family.

Larry was born on Dec. 25, 1950 in Harrisburg to the late Darriel and Nina (Fleming) Angelly. He married the former Connie Malone on Oct. 10, 1970 and she survives in Harrisburg.

Larry was a member of Buena Vista Community Church and attended McKinley Avenue Baptist Church with his family. He served his country in the U.S. Army as a military police officer (MP), serving in Vietnam and Thailand.

Larry was a retired coal miner, having worked at Sahara Coal, Federal Landscaping and retiring from Arclar Coal. He was self-employed during his retirement.

In his free time, Larry was the consummate grandfather. His grandchildren were his hobby and he would rather spend time with them than anything else in this world.

Larry is survived by his wife, Connie Angelly of Harrisburg; daughter, Elizabeth (Eric) Eversmann of Harrisburg; grandson, Blake Douglas Eversmann of Harrisburg; granddaughter, Kirsten Dayle Eversmann of Harrisburg; brothers Roger (Cheryl) Angelly and Monty Angelly, both of Harrisburg; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Larry was preceded in death by his brother, Douglas Angelly.

Funeral services will begin at 2 p.m., Sunday, Sept. 20, 2020 at Reed Funeral Chapel in Harrisburg. The Rev. Dr. Blaine Welker will officiate and burial will follow in Sunset Garden Cemetery.

Visitation will be held at Reed Funeral Chapel from 5 to 8 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 19, 2020.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Veterans Memorial Preservation Fund and envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
