Petitions to run for Logan College board available Tuesday, Sept. 22
Petition packets will be available on Sept. 22 for candidates who want to run for the three, 6-year terms on the John A. Logan College board of trustees.
The consolidated election will be held April 6, 2021, for local school boards and community college boards, mayors and village presidents, city councils and village boards, library board and park boards.
Sept. 22 is the first day petitions may be circulated.
For the JALC election, petition packets will be available in the President's Office, inside the Administration Building on the Carterville campus.
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, people must enter the campus at the west entrance and drive through a temperature check health screening.
To be eligible for the ballot, candidates must file their petitions and the required forms to the Office of the President between Dec. 14-21. The office hours are 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Dec. 14-18 and 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Dec. 21.
