Indians finish fourth at Benton quad; DQ girls take third at Murphysboro

Caden Hutches carded a 42 to lead Du Quoin in a quad match late last week at Benton Country Club.

The host Rangers took home the top prize, shooting a 149, while Hamilton County came in second, firing a 171. Marion (176) and Du Quoin (186) rounded out the scoring.

Hutchens took low round honors for the Indians, while Hunter Ridgeway shot a 43. Garrick Blevins fired a 46, while Noah Gates finished with a 55.

Owen Cornett shot a 57 and Aiden Bradley had a 60 for DQ.

The Du Quoin boys will be a part of the Benton quad today (Tuesday) and will travel to Nashville Thursday.

<b>Girls finish third in triangular</b>

The Du Quoin girls' golf team shot a 237 Wednesday, finishing behind Carbondale (192) and Murphysboro (227) in a triangular meet.

Aubrey Barwick led the charge for the Indians, firing a 52 and Ryleigh Ridgeway carded a 60. Abby Burris fired a 62 and Emma Fischer finished with a 63 rounding out the four-person scoring. Brooklyn Willis (66) and Clarie Rose (67) also played for DQ.
