Bernard 'Banjie' Feazel of Harrisburg
Bernard "Banjie" Feazel, 92, of Harrisburg, passed away at 9:07 a.m. on Thursday, Sept. 3, 2020 at the home of his daughter and son-in-law, Kathy and Jim Lindsey.
Bernard was born on July 23, 1928 in Harrisburg to the late Hughie and Lillie (Endicott) Feazel. He married Barbara Boulden on Nov. 22, 1945.
Bernard served in many capacities with the Southern Illinois Electric Cooperative, and on retirement in 1994 he had advanced to utility service man. Bernard was a member of the First Baptist Church where, in his younger years, he served as a deacon.
Bernard is survived by a son, Kurt (Terry) Feazel of Houston; a daughter, Kathy (James) Lindsey of Harrisburg; grandchildren, Didi (Gary) Seagraves, Craig (Kriston) Feazel, Ray (Kristi) Lindsey and Katy (Billy) Wynne; great-grandchildren, Blaze Seagraves, Margot Feazel, Lily Wynne and Nicklaus Wynne; sister, Holly Webb; sister-in-law, Patty Feazel; two nieces, Sandy (Jim) Snyder and Scarlet (Rex) Flarardy; and one great-niece, Michelle (Jerry) Lienenbach.
Bernard was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara; brothers Robert Feazel, Wallace Feazel and J.W. Feazel; and sisters, Bernadette Feazel and Lila Demita Feazel.
Funeral services will begin at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Sept. 5, 2020 at Reed Funeral Chapel in Harrisburg with Jeremy Bennett officiating. Burial will follow in Sunset Lawn Cemetery.
Visitation will be held prior to the service, from 10 to 11 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 5, 2020.
Memorial contributions are suggested to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital and envelopes are available at the funeral home.
