Six new Perry County COVID-19 cases on Thursday

The Perry County Health Department has been notified of six additional confirmed positive cases of COVID-19, it announced Thursday, bringing the total number of positive cases here to 290.

The diagnosed individuals are two women in their 20s, 1 woman in her 40s, 1 woman in her 50s, 1 man in his 50s and 1 woman in her 80s.

The summary of the (290) confirmed cases are:

67 active cases

215 released from isolation

Eight deaths.

The Perry County Health Department is monitoring this situation along with the Illinois Department of Public Health, both local hospitals in Perry County and local emergency management authorities.

The patients are in isolation and working with the Perry County Health Department.
