Du Quoin briefs: Used book sale, shop local event both on July 25

<b>Used book sale in Keyes Park July 25</b>

The Du Quoin Public Library and Marshall Browning Hospital will co-host a book sale, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, July 25 in Keyes Park. All items will be 50 cents. The sale will have lots of books, paperback and hardcover, and some DVDs, plus a storytime for children (with puppets) and ice cream sandwiches. Some of the books are ones removed from the Du Quoin Library collection; others are books in good condition that have been donated by the public. Want to donate books? There is still time; call the library and arrange for a curbside donation.

<b>Chamber 'Shop Local' campaign is July 25</b>

The Du Quoin Chamber of Commerce will host a Du Quoin Shop Local campaign on Saturday, July 25. Businesses that have not participated before can join by emailing to duquoinchamber@gmail.com with your name and business information.
