Chester businesses cautiously move into Phase 3

Phase 3 of the Illinois's COVID-19 recovery plan went into effect on Friday and for those of us who needed to get our hair cut, it was a welcome sight. Chester restaurants and bars are now allowed to serve customers in outdoor seating areas - if they have the space to socially distance the tables.

Barber shops and salons have reopened as long as they keep customers and workers at least six feet apart and everyone wears masks.

It's the first step and some businesses in Chester are cautiously sticking their toes in the Phase 3 waters. For a list of businesses that are open and partially open, turn to page 3.
