Ruth Ellen Aue of Du Quoin

Ruth Ellen Aue, 93, of Du Quoin, passed away at 6:21 p.m. on Monday, April 6, 2020 at the Freeburg Care Center in Freeburg, Illinois.

Ellen had been a homemaker. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Du Quoin.

She was born Feb. 24, 1927 at West Terre Haute, Indiana, the daughter of Edward and Janet (Stark) Kellett.

She married Francis Aue on Aug. 2, 1947 at West Terre Haute, and he preceded her in death on Dec. 10, 2005.

She is survived by one son, Shawn (Patty) Aue of Du Quoin; three daughters, Francie (Charles) Rodman of Freeburg, Deborah Boes of Boynton Beach, Florida and Lisa (Kevin) Coleman of Du Quoin; one sister, Jo Ann Johnson of Terre Haute; nine grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

Ellen was preceded in death by her parents, husband, a sister, Agnes Bell and a brother, Edward Kellett.

Private family graveside services will begin at 1 p.m. Thursday, April 9, 2020 at the Sunset Memorial Park in Du Quoin, with the Rev. April Turner officiating.

Friends are invited to make memorials to the American Cancer Society or the First United Methodist Church in Du Quoin, which will be accepted at the funeral home.
