Steven Kyle Smith of Eldorado
Steven Kyle Smith, age 31, of Eldorado, passed away at 7:25 a.m. Sunday, Dec. 8, 2019.
Kyle was born on Dec. 20, 1987, in Evansville, Indiana to Dannie Smith and Teresa (Dugaro) Smith. On Sept. 8, 2014, he married Rebekah Patton and she survives in Eldorado.
Kyle was a real "family man." All of his life decisions revolved around his children. He was an amazing father, husband, son, grandson and friend. He enjoyed participating in highland games, riding dirt bikes or anything outdoors.
Kyle was an active member of the Army National Guard.
Kyle is survived by his wife, Rebekah Smith and two children, Ryan and Emmry Smith, of Eldorado; his father, Dannie Smith and Jenni of Shawneetown; mother, Teresa Dugaro of Eldorado; paternal grandparents, Butch and Marsha Smith of Harrisburg; maternal grandfather, Steve Dugaro of Eldorado; nieces and nephews, Adilynn, Wyatt, Evelyn and Bryson; special cousins, Mitchell Crank, Dylan Crank, Logan Curry and Joseph Curry; several other cousins; and several aunts and uncles.
Kyle was preceded in death by his sister, Ashlee Smith and his maternal grandmother, Janet Dugaro.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 14, 2019 at Reed Funeral Chapel in Harrisburg, Illinois. The Rev. Jared Austin will officiate and burial will follow in Sunset Garden Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday, Dec. 13, 2019 at Reed Funeral Chapel. Memorial contributions may be made to Cardinal Glennon Children's Hospital and envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
