Gregory Lee Rushing, formerly of Shawneetown

Gregory Lee Rushing, age 42, passed on this life Nov. 28, 2019 in Harrisburg.

Greg, as most knew him, was born in Eldorado on Sept. 1, 1977 to the late Charlie Harrington and June (Clevenger) Rushing.

Greg worked in the Riverview Coal Mine. He loved the outdoors, fishing, helping others, being with his friends, and especially the motorcycle club he was a member of, Stormriders, where he was known as "Boom."

He was very active with the club helping other people, especially kids at Christmas. Greg will be missed by many

Greg is survived by his parents, Rick and June Rushing of Shawneetown; two daughters, Emma and Olivia Rushing of Herrin; a brother, Michael (Karissa) Rushing of Mount Vernon, Indiana; a sister, Heather (Roger) Heffington of Shawneetown.; and a half-brother, Robbie Harrington of Harrisburg He was also survived by a special aunt, Liz Harrington of Harrisburg and many nieces and nephews.

Visitation for Greg will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. Monday, Dec. 2, 2019 at Cox & Son Funeral Home in Shawneetown.

His funeral service begins at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 3, 2019 at the funeral home. He will be laid to rest in the Westwood Cemetery in Shawneetown.
