Vivian E. (Gass) Lockyear, formerly of Eldorado
Vivian E. (Gass) Lockyear, 94, a longtime resident of Evansville, Indiana, passed away Thursday, Feb. 14, 2019. She was born in Eldorado to Lawrence and Ann Gass, and lived most of her early life in Ridgway.
Vivian was a registered nurse and retired from Welborn Hospital in 1986.
Vivian was preceded in death by her husband, Marvin J. Lockyear, an Evansville artist; her parents; brother, Rodney E. Gass in infancy; and sisters, Marjorie Elizabeth O'Leary and Mary Rose Saucier, both of Evansville, Indiana.
She is survived by her brother, Bill Gass (Leila) of Oak Brook; nieces, Micky O'Leary of Decatur, Georgia, Melinda (Tom) Cook of Jerome, Arizona, Jennifer (John) Lindsey of Plano, Texas, Sherry (Tom) Alexander of Evansville, Indiana; nephews, Jeffrey (Ruth) Gass of Cottonwood, Arizona, Rodney L. Gass of Blue Springs, Missouri, John M. O'Leary (Sharon) of Evansville, Indiana, Tim (Angie) O'Leary of Sanford, Florida; and stepdaughter, Barbara Gamstetter, of Dayton, Ohio.
A memorial service has been held.
