Hattie Parker, formerly of Benton

Hattie Parker, 95, of Centralia passed away peacefully Thursday, May 23, 2019, at Centralia Manor in Centralia. She was born July 4, 1923, the daughter of Cleve and Pearl (Campbell) Cook, in Benton. She married Leamon H. "Ted" Parker March 1, 1947, in Benton and he preceded her in death Sept. 7, 1986.

Survivors include her children, Cortland Parker and wife Doris of Irvington, and Robert Parker of Anaheim, Calif.

Along with her husband of 39 years, Ted Parker, Hattie was preceded in death by both her parents, Cleve and Pearl Cook; stepfather, Earl Shaffer; and her step-brother Virgil Shaffer.

Mrs. Parker was a diligent employee, retiring as a supervisor at Warren G. Murray Developmental Center after 20 years of faithful service. She was a member of Calumet Street Christian Church. Hattie also held memberships with the East Centralia Home Extension, Disabled American Veterans Auxiliary and AARP.

Irvin Macz Funeral Home in Centralia is in charge of arrangements. A graveside service was held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, May 28, 2019, at Hillcrest Memorial Park in Centralia with John Willis officiating.
