Janet Marie Parker of Logan

Janet Marie Parker, 74, of Logan passed away Sunday, Feb. 10, 2019.

She was born Nov. 17, 1944, in Pittsburgh, Pa., the daughter of Adam James and Pearl (Abbott) Schelsky.

Mrs. Parker was a home health care provider. She enjoyed taking care of the elderly and children.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Jesse Parker; son Kenny Parker and daughter-in-law Angie; one daughter, Sandy; a very special niece, Donna Johnson; and a sister, Edith Baumhardt.

Mrs. Parker is survived by her children, Jesse Parker Jr. and Lori of North Dakota, James Dean Parker of Benton, Robert Parker and Cynthia of Seattle, Wash., Jan Parker of Logan and Donna Parker of San Diego, Calif.; 14 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren, including special ones Ladybug and Precious; two sisters, Joyce Watkins of Benton and Mary Carroll and husband Jack of Columbia, Mo.; one brother, Joseph Schelsky and wife Sandy of St. Louis, Mo.; and several nieces, nephews, cousins and special friends.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Feb. 15 at Morton and Johnston Funeral Home in Benton with the Rev. Dean Severin officiating. Burial will be at the Masonic and Oddfellows Cemetery in Benton. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday at Morton and Johnston Funeral Home.
