Roger Lee Craig of Harrisburg
Roger Lee Craig, age 57, of Harrisburg, passed away at 7:55 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 12, 2018 at his residence. He was born June 4, 1961 in Harrisburg, to the late Glendal and Phyllis Ann (Stout) Craig.
On Dec. 27, 2003 he married Genny Stricklin and she survives.
Roger was a miner for Sahara Coal and worked at Raben Tire, Best One Tire and was just elected as Saline County Clerk in November. He was a member of the Harrisburg Elks Lodge 1058, Harrisburg Masonic Lodge, Egyptian Shrine Club and Sons of the American Legion.
Roger was the United States Monopoly Champion and finished in fourth place in the World Monopoly Tournament.
He was an avid Vikings fan, deer hunter and golfer and loved being at Saline Landing at the river. He loved life, his family and friends.
In addition to his wife, Genny, Roger is survived by a daughter, Mikayla Ziegler of Harrisburg; two grandchildren, Wyatt Henderson and Hollis Ziegler of Harrisburg; a brother, David (Angie) Craig of Harrisburg; a niece, Jordan Craig of Harrisburg; a nephew, Joshua Craig of Harrisburg; an aunt, Marlene Jones of Springfield; and cousins Danny (Angela) Stout and family of Harrisburg; Mike Stout of Harrisburg; Robbie Stout of Harrisburg and Joe (Marsha) Potts of Harrisburg.
Roger was preceded in death by his parents, and one brother, Mark Craig.
Memorial services will begin at 1 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 15, 2018 at Reed Funeral Chapel in Harrisburg, with Ray Wallace officiating.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until the service time at Reed Funeral Chapel. Elks Rites will begin at noon.
