Nellie Ruth Pritchett of Marion, formerly of Stonefort

Nellie Ruth Pritchett, 70, of Marion, Illinois, died Thursday Nov. 1, 2018 at 11:11 a.m. in the Herrin Hospital.

Funeral services will begin at 1 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 4, 2018 at Felty Funeral Home in Carrier Mills. Visitation will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Blackman Cemetery at Stonefort. The Rev. Bob Manier will officiate.

Memorials may be made to the Stonefort Missionary Baptist Church.

Nellie was born on Oct. 12, 1948 in Stonefort, to the late Andrew and Edith (Reynolds) Griffith. She married Sam Pritchett on May 4, 1968 and he preceded in death on Aug. 11, 1999.

She was retired from the Williamson County Clerk's office where she worked for many years.

She is survived by her daughter, Kim Pritchett Davidson of Winter Springs, Florida; son James Eddie Pritchett of Colorado Springs, Colorado; six grandchildren, Tara Dooley, Samantha Davidson, Lindsey Davidson, Nick Davidson, Devin Pritchett and Kyle Pritchett; two great-grandchildren, Maliek Devin Pritchett and Zane Edmond Pritchett; and two sisters, Ann Tedford of Eldorado and Judy Talandis of Harrisburg.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Sam Pritchett; a son, John Dooley; a daughter, Ruth Pritchett; a brother, Thomas Griffith; and three sisters, Ruby Auten, Doris Stone and Barbara Hurd.
