William Glen Roberson, formerly of Harrisburg

GODFREY, ILLINOIS - William Glen Roberson, 91, died at 3:05 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 17, 2018 at Alton Memorial Hospital.

Born Dec. 27, 1926 in Harrisburg, he was the son of John Logan and Maud (Rude) Roberson.

Mr. Roberson was a Southern Baptist minister, schoolteacher and administrator in Roxana, Paxton and Mt. Auburn, Illinois. He married the former Dorothy Wood on Sept. 1, 1950 in Worden, Illinois and she preceded him in death.

Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Debra and Michael Adedokun of Godfrey; a son, Paul Roberson of Godfrey; three grandchildren, Cassandra Miller, Tiffany Carson and James Dickerson III; three great-grandchildren, Zariah, Shayla and Isaiah Lumpkins; and a niece, Mary Lou Roberson of Harrisburg.

Along with his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Makayla Carson, four brothers and three sisters.

Graveside services will begin at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 24, 2018 at Richwoods Cemetery in Roodhouse, Illinois.

Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
