Lou Eva Ingram of Ridgway

Lou Eva Ingram, 82, of Ridgway, passed on this life peacefully Sunday in the Reflections facility of Holly Brook in Harrisburg, surrounded by her daughters, after an extended illness.

Lou Eva was born on Aug. 9, 1936, in Shawneetown to the late Preston and Elizabeth (Gobin) Estes. On Aug. 17, 1954, she married the love of her life, Ralph Ingram, whom she spent 62 years of marriage with before he preceded her in death in 2016.

Lou Eva worked several years as a beautician in her shop before retiring. She enjoyed crafts, sewing and camping with her husband Ralph. After early retirement, Lou Eva and Ralph enjoyed traveling to Florida to spend the winter months there. Lou Eva was a faithful member of Scott Street Baptist Church in Eldorado. For many years she was the choir leader, bookkeeper and Sunday school teacher. Lou Eva was a kind and loving soul. She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend. She will be missed by many.

Lou Eva is survived by her two daughters, Cindy (Alan) Drone of Ridgway and Sandra Wright of Jackson, Missouri; grandchildren Aaron Wright, Amanda (Brad) Schafer, Jacob Drone and Katie (Noel) Clore; and great-grandchildren Ethan and Wyatt Schafer.

She was also preceded in death by a daughter, Sonia Ingram.

Visitation for Lou Eva was 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Wednesday at the Cox & Son Funeral Home in Ridgway. Her funeral immediately followed at the funeral home starting at 1 p.m. with the Rev. Roy Dale Orr officiating. She was laid to rest next to her husband in the Wolf Creek Cemetery in Eldorado.
