Glenda Byram of Ellis Grove
Glenda Byram, 80, of Ellis Grove, Illinois, passed away at 2:09 a.m., Sunday, Oct. 14, 2018 at her residence.
She was born to the late Calvin and Lilly (nee McCalmon) Baker on July 12, 1938 in Marked Tree, Arkansas. Glenda married Floyd L. Byram on April 11, 1959; he preceded her in death on May 29, 1994.
She was a homemaker.
Survivors include two children, Vicki Fenner of Chester and Timothy (Jackie) Byram of Marquand, Mo.; six siblings, Willis Sterling of St. Louis, Mo., Karon (Clifford) Schmidt of Frohna, Mo., Richard Sterling of Ste. Genevieve, Mo., Paula Cox of Perryville, Mo., Mark Sterling of Cape Girardeau, Mo., and Connie (Criag) Cambron of Perryville, Mo.; five grandchildren, Jason Gonzales, Angela Britton, Christina Tice, Joshua Schmidt and Jacob Schmidt; four step-grandchildren, Heather Laurentius, Justin Edwards, Stephanie Burr and Stacey Edwards-Koogler; 11 great grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; one daughter, Lorri Schmidt; two brothers, James "Bud" Flannigan and David Sterling; two sisters, Shirley Flannigan and Mary Helen Sterling; one grandson, Matthew Lee Roche; and one great granddaughter, Kallie Britton.
A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m., Friday, Oct. 19, at Pechacek Funeral Homes, Chester, with the Rev. Phillip Keeton officiating. Inurnment will be at Evergreen Cemetery in Chester.
