John D. Dooley of Stonefort

John D. Dooley, 52, of Stonefort, died Monday, Sept. 24, 2018, at his residence.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 30, 2018 at Felty Funeral Home in Carrier Mills. Visitation will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 29, 2018. Burial will be in Blackman Cemetery near Stonefort. The Rev. Keith Bunfill will officiate.

Memorials may be made to Blackman Cemetery or the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.

He was born on Dec. 4, 1965 in Harrisburg to Henry Dooley and Nellie (Griffith) Pritchett. John was employed at the Marion federal prison, where he had worked for over 25 years. John enjoyed the outdoors, including fishing, hunting and hiking; also, one of his greatest joys was basketball.

He is survived by his daughter, Tara Dooley of Republic, Missouri; mother, Nellie Pritchett of Marion; father, Henry Dooley of Harrisburg; sister, Kim Pritchett Davidson of White Springs, Florida; two brothers, Daniel Dooley of Harrisburg and James Eddie Pritchett of Colorado Springs, Colorado; five nieces and three nephews.

He was preceded in death by two brothers, Hank Dooley and William Dooley; a sister, Ruth Pritchett; and his stepfather, Sam Pritchett.
