Deloris June Hall of Galatia
Deloris June Hall, 84, of Galatia, Illinois, passed away at 8:05 p.m. on Monday, Sept. 10, 2018 at the Carrier Mills Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Carrier Mills.
She was born May 13, 1934 in Saline County, Illinois to parents Oval and Marie (Medlin) Hankins. She married Gene Hall on July 3, 1952 in Williamson County, Illinois.
June worked as a Certified Nursing Assistant for many years at the Good Shepherd Nursing Home in Galatia. She also sang and played piano in the Gospel Echoes Quartet for many years.
June is survived by a daughter, Vicky Hall of Galatia; three brothers, Bud (Sherry) Hankins of Harrisburg, Charlie (Jeanie) Hankins of Anna and Dayton Hankins of Oklahoma; and five grandchildren, Laura (Joey) Morris, Amy (Mike) Rodriguez, Sarah Lambert, Michael Kukla and Sharla Clarida.
She is also survived by 12 great-grandchildren: Halle, Laney and Lily Morris; Drake and Gianna Rodriguez; Madison, Kylie and Jarrett Lambert; Taryn Mattingly; Elias Williams; and Abbie and Ethan Pettus. She also had three great-great grandchildren, Thaxtyn, Annistyn and Aibyn Casteel.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Gene Hall, in 2003; daughter Kathy Hall Kukla in 2005; two brothers, Oval Lee Hankins and Wayne Hankins; and two sisters, Maxine Ward and Norma Thompson.
A private family service will be held on Friday, Sept. 14, 2018 at the Sloan Funeral Home in Galatia with Pastors Dale Martin and Steve Dunning officiating.
Burial will be at Lebanon Cemetery near Galatia.
Memorials to help cover the cost of funeral expenses may be made to Vicky Hall and will be accepted at the Sloan Funeral Home in Galatia, which is in charge of the arrangements.
