Ruby M. Larocca of Du Quoin

Ruby M. Larocca, 93, of Du Quoin, passed away at 9:10 a.m. Saturday, July 28, 2018 at Prairie Living at Chautauqua, in Carbondale.

Ruby worked at Country Set garment company and the Turco Manufacturing Company. She attended the Elkville Baptist Church.

She was born Sept. 23, 1924 in Perry County, Illinois, the daughter of Robert and Rebecca (Neville) Killingsworth.

She married John Larocca on Sept. 6, 1946, in Mayfield, Kentucky, and he preceded her in death on Feb. 10, 1996.

She is survived by her daughter, Johanna (Byron) Brock of Du Quoin; son Steve (Marsha) Larocca of Springfield, Illinois; four grandchildren, Troy (Holly) Brock of Hendersonville, North Carolina, Tracy Scranton of Atlanta, Georgia, Jennifer (Zach) Bowles of Shawnee, Kansas and Justine Larocca of Indianapolis; three great-grandchildren, Joshua Scranton and Jenna Scranton, both of Atlanta, and Bryce Brock of Hendersonville.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, three brothers and four sisters.

Funeral services will begin at 10 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 4, 2018 at the Searby Funeral Home in Du Quoin with the Rev. Scott Slone officiating.

Friends may call from 9 a.m. until the time of service on Saturday at the Searby Funeral Home in Du Quoin.

Burial will be in the Sunset Memorial Park at Du Quoin.

Friends may make memorials to the SIH Cancer Center in Carbondale, which will be accepted at the funeral home.
