Scott Crosson, formerly of Marion
Scott Crosson, 61, of Peoria, formerly of Marion, passed away peacefully with his family by his side at 5:38 a.m. on Sunday, July 22, 2018, in Unity Methodist Hospital of Peoria.
He was born on Friday, Sept. 14, 1956, in Los Angeles, the son of Frank and Loretta (Morgan) Crosson.
Scott's childhood years were spent in California before his family moved back to Marion in 1965.
He attended school in Marion and was a graduate of Marion High School Class of 1974. He continued on with his education by attending at John A. Logan College of Carterville and later at Eastern Illinois University in Charleston.
With a degree in Business Finance, Scott was employed with several financial service companies during his career with his last being All State Insurance of Peoria.
He is survived by his parents, Frank and Loretta Crosson of Marion; wife, Vickie Crosson of Peoria; daughter, Amy (Ryan) Westcott of Vechy, Missouri; three sons, Michael, Andrew and Jonathan Crosson, all of Peoria; grandson Colt Westcott, of Vechy, Missouri; two sisters, Jane (Bruce Stroebe) Crosson of Prior Lake, Minnesota and Diana (Joe) Kozar of Union, Kentucky; brother, Dan (Teddi) Crosson of Waipahu, Hawaii; two nephews, Benjamin Kozar of Union, KY and Daniel Joseph (Hanna) Kozar of Cleveland, Tennessee; two great-nephews, James and Pepa Kozar, both of Cleveland, Tennessee; and other extended family and many friends.
Local arrangements have been entrusted to Wilson-McReynolds Funeral Home, 900 N. Court St., Marion.
A visitation will be from 10 until 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, July 28 at the funeral home.
For those who prefer, memorial contributions may be made to American Cancer Society. Memorial contribution envelopes will be available at the funeral home or may be mailed in care of the funeral home.
