Glen Denton Logan of Harrisburg

Glen Denton Logan, age 63, of Harrisburg passed away at 1:45 p.m. on Thursday, July 12, 2018 at his residence.

Glen was born Jan. 9, 1955, in Rosiclare, to the late Earl and Lucille (Denton) Logan. Glen married Judy Chrostoski on Feb. 3, 2011. The mother of his three children is Marcia (Furlow) Green, whom he also was married to.

Glen's passion was farming, but that is not his only accomplishment. He received his degree in diesel mechanics at SIC in May of 1975, and after completing his apprenticeship at Ajax, he went on to work as a mechanic for Sahara, Peabody and Black Beauty Coal Mines and Operating Engineers Local 318.

He also worked for Jerry Fricker, Denny and Simpson Trucking and Richerson Excavating.

Survivors include his wife, Judy Logan, of Harrisburg; six children, Drew (Nicole) Logan of Litchfield, Illinois; Kelly (Dave) Rollins of Rantoul; Darren Logan of Harrisburg; Jacqueline (Jonathan) Davis of Thompsonville; Jessica (Pedro) Claudio of Bristol, Tennessee; and Justin Lindsey of Johnston City; eight grandchildren, Tyler Lightner, Keenan Logan, Lexi Logan, Bailey Rollins, Jada Claudio, Kyler Davis, Grayson Rollins and Kannon Davis; one brother, Tom (Sherri) Logan of Carmi; one sister, Joyce Preston of Carmi; and several nieces & nephews.

Visitation for Glen will be held 5 to 8 p.m. on Saturday, July 21, 2018 at Reed Funeral Chapel in Harrisburg. In lieu of flowers, the family would prefer that donations be made to a cancer charity of the donor's choice. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
