William “Bill” Robert Deere of Chester

William "Bill" Robert Deere, 54, of Chester passed away at 4:28 a.m., on Sunday, July 8, 2018 at his home in Chester, Illinois.

He was born to Marion and Linda (nee Turner) Deere on April 29, 1964 in Camp Pendleton, California.

Bill was a retired Sergeant at Chester Mental Health Center. He was of the Baptist faith. Bill was a Harley Motorcycle Enthusiast

Survivors include his mother, Linda Thayer-Hydo of Herrin; two children, Kiara Leigh Deere and Logun Tyler Deere, both of Chester; two sisters, Kimberly Deere (Randall) Hudson of Carbondale and Angela Gail (Dan) Robson of Thompsonville; aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

He was preceded in death by his father, Sgt. Marion Deere; stepmother, Pauline Deere; and two brothers, Walter Lee McCowan-Deere and Dean Charles Deere.

Funeral Service will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, July 13, at Pechacek-McClure Funeral Home, 839 Lehmen Drive, Chester, with Dr. Mike Fogerson officiating. Graveside service will be at 2 p.m. at Busby Cemetery, Goreville.

Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. Thursday and 7:30-10 a.m. Friday at Pechacek-McClure Funeral Home, Chester.
