He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Sue Davenport of Wilbraham, Massachusetts; three daughters, Dixie (Jerry) Gottstein of Springfield, Illinois, Jennifer (Danny) Harpole of Evansville, Indiana, and Debbie (Ken) Davis of Columbus, Ohio; his son, Michael Davenport of Springfield, Massachusetts; five grandchildren, Amber (Scott) Sabin, Daniel (Amy) Davis, Jaime (Craig) Emig, Kevin (Carrie) Hatfield and Jessica Gottstein.
He has five great grandchildren: Ava Sabin; Jack Sabin; Calvin Davis; Theo Emig and Isabelle Emig.
Carl is also survived by his brother, Brian (Mary Ann) Davenport of Gold Canyon, Arizona; Danny (Lori) Dempsey of St. Stephen, Nebraska, who he thought of as his first son; and countless nieces, nephews, friends and loved ones.
A celebration of life will take place from 1-2:30 p.m. on Sunday, June 24, 2018 at Watson's Funeral Home in Eldorado.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the American Cancer Society would be appreciated.
