Luann Everding of Ellis Grove
Luann Everding, 58, of Ellis Grove, passed away at 2:26 p.m., Friday, June 8, at her residence.
She was born to the late James "Cisco" S. and Lucille M. (nee Bagsby) Cissell on May 1, 1960 at Red Bud. LuAnn married Brian Everding on Dec. 26, 1987 at St. John Lutheran Church in Red Bud, Illinois. He survives.
She had worked at Menard Correctional Center as an assisted office manager until her retirement in 2015. She was a member of Our Lady of Good Counsel in Renault, Illinois. LuAnn loved horseback riding and had been a member of the Randolph County Saddle Club for 10 years. She enjoyed going scuba diving, reading a good book and dancing.
Survivors include her husband, Brian Everding of Ellis Grove; a daughter, Cassie Everding of Ellis Grove; four siblings, James "Cisco" (Helen) Cissell of Tilden, William (Mary Ellen) Cissell of Shady Shores, Texas, Thomas (Mary Helen) Cissell of Ball Ground, Georgia, and Helen Marshall (Denis Burmester) of Prairie du Rocher; two sisters-in-law, Patty Cissell (Richard Zeiger) of Renault, IL and Shirley Cissell of Belleville; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, John and Richard Cissell; one brother-in-law, Darrell Marshall; one nephew, Darrell Marshall Jr.; and parents-in-law Paul and Melba Everding.
It was LuAnn's wish to be cremated.
A memorial service will be held at 7 p.m. Tuesday, June 12, at Welge-Pechacek Funeral Home, 1340 W. Market St., Red Bud, with Father Roger Karban officiating. Visitation will be 5-7 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
