Sue Alecci of Galatia

Sue Alecci, 80, of Galatia, passed away Saturday April 21, 2018 at Memorial Hospital of Carbondale.

She was born on June 8, 1937 In Tate Township, Galatia, to the late Olen and Rathie (Pemberton) Tate. Sue married Lavern Alecci on July 3, 1956 at the Tate's Chapel Church in Galatia. She was a member of Tate's Chapel Church since a young child.

Sue is survived by her husband, Lavern; two sons, Mark (Leasia) Alecci and Rick (Pam) Alecci; six grandchildren, Brandi, Bridget, Brooke, John Mark, Matthew and Abby; 11 great-grandchildren; a brother, Leon Tate; two sisters, Merrilie Barnheart and Jane Dyer; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, April 25, 2018 at the Tate's Chapel Church Galatia with visitation from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, April 24, 2018 at the Sloan Funeral Home in Galatia.

The Rev. Paul Brown and the Rev. Bob Manier will officiate with burial in the Tate's Chapel Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to Tate's Chapel Cemetery. Sloan Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
