Joyce Sue Alexander of Harrisburg

HARRISBURG - Joyce Sue Alexander, 69, of Harrisburg, died at 9:35 p.m. Wednesday, April 18, at Harrisburg Medical Center.

Her wishes were to be cremated and there will be no services at this time. Felty Funeral Home in Carrier Mills is assisting the family.

She was born on Nov. 23, 1948 in Pontiac, Michigan, to the late Wilburn Lee and Dorothy Cathleen (Allred) Alexander.

She worked as a licensed practical nurse for more than 38 years; she retired from Harrisburg Medical Center in 2014.

She is survived by two sisters, Shawna Lee Austin and her companion, William Duncan of Harrisburg, and Judy Lee Willett of Sand Lake, Michigan; two nieces, Kaitlin Erin Austin and Alexis Paige Austin, both of Harrisburg; nephew Justin Tyler Austin of Harrisburg; and Joyce's companion, Scratcher the cat.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, James Lee "Jimmy" Alexander.
