Karen Blakely of Pinckneyville
PINCKNEYVILLE - Karen Blakely, 65, of Pinckneyville, passed away Wednesday evening, April 18, 2018 at her home.
She was born in Salem on March 1, 1953, the daughter of the late Robert Lane and the late Alene (Hanks) Allphin.
She married Richard Blakely on Jan. 6, 2001, and he survives.
Karen is also survived by her children, Katrina (John) VanDyke of Louisville, IL, Karla (Eric) McCowen of Allendale, Kimberly (Shannon) Kash of Waltonville, Kevin Rose of Salem, Tricia (Mark) Blakely Doerflein of Pinckneyville, and Shannon (Richie) Blakely Owings of Pinckneyville; grandchildren, J.T. McCowen, Samuel Kash, Alizabeth Owings, Parker VanDyke, Mayci Doerflein, Paige VanDyke, Alivia Owings, Lydia Kash, Molly Doerflein, Bridget Kash, Josey McCowen, Paris VanDyke and Miles Doerflein.
Karen was preceded in death by her mother and father; stepfather Harvey Allphin, and by a granddaughter, Natalie Kash.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, April 21, at the Elkville Christian Church with Pastor Richard Castleman officiating. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday at the church.
Visitation will also be held from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday at the Evergreen Christian Church in Salem. Graveside services will follow at the Evergreen Cemetery in Kinmundy on Sunday.
