Betty L. De Sherlia of Chester

Betty L. De Sherlia, 86, of Chester passed away at 12:50 p.m., Tuesday, March 13, 2018 at her residence.

She was born to the late Wilfred and Frances (nee Tully) Allgire on Dec. 26, 1931 in E. St. Louis, Illinois. She had worked for Gilster-Mary Lee for 26 years. In her spare time, Betty enjoyed reading books.

Survivors include one son, Paul De Sherlia of Belleville; two daughters, Teri (Billy) Rinderer of Chester and Tina (Billy) Stewart of Chester; one brother, William (Billie) Allgire of Caseyville; 11 grandchildren; 37 great-grandchildren; 9 great-great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; one daughter, Deborah Jones; and two great grandsons, Ethan Berger and Xavier Helmers.

Funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Friday, March 16, at Pechacek-McClure Funeral Home, 839 Lehmen Drive, Chester, with the Rev. Phillip Keeton officiating. Interment will be at Lake View Memorial Garden in Belleville.

Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. Thursday and 7:30-11 a.m. Friday at Pechacek-McClure Funeral Home in Chester.
