Albert Adams of Benton
Albert Adams, 83, of Benton passed away Friday morning, Feb. 16, 2018, in Benton.
He was born Sept. 26, 1934, in Benton, the son of Thomas and Minnie (Ahls) Adams.
He married Mary Ellyn Tasky Jan. 29, 1966.
Mr. Adams was a retired carpenter. He was an Army veteran, and he attended First Christian Church in Benton.
Mr. Adams is survived by his wife, Mary Ellyn Adams of Benton; son Michael David Adams of Benton; three nephews, Dwight Morgan, James Michael Ahlfeld, and Victor Heath Tasky and wife Traci; niece Pamela Kreher; two great-nieces, Annie Kreher and Kylee Ann Tasky; two step-nephews, David Hutson and Charles Hutson; and one step-niece, Jan Hartsell.
Mr. Adams was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Betty Hutson and Dorothy Morgan; a nephew, Robert Morgan; and a brother-in-law, Logan Hutson.
Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 20th at Morton and Johnston Funeral Home in Benton with Pastor Kurt Sanders officiating. Burial with military rites conducted by the Benton American Legion and VFW posts and the National Guard Honor Squad will be at the Masonic and Oddfellows Cemetery in Benton. Visitation will be after 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
