Betty Jean (Harding) Kielhorn of Harrisburg
HARRISBURG - Betty Jean (Harding) Kielhorn, 92, a lifelong resident of Harrisburg, peacefully passed from this life on Jan. 26, 2018, in Deaconess Hospital in Evansville, Indiana.
Betty was born Oct. 1, 1925, in Harrisburg to Claude and Luella (Milner) Harding. She was a 1943 graduate of Harrisburg High School.
On Oct. 10, 1048, she married James Arthur "Art" Kielhorn, and they shared 66 wonderful years together before his passing in 2015.
Betty was a member of First United Methodist Church in Harrisburg and very active in the Egyptian Shrine Club Auxiliary.
Once she was retired from her bookkeeping position, she enjoyed cooking, traveling with her husband, and sewing.
Survivors include her daughter, Vickie (Kielhorn) Cowan or Portland, Oregon; son, Mike Kielhorn of Herod; granddaughter, Erin (Greg) Krikie of Junction; and great-granddaughter, Jayden Krikie of Junction.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Claude and Luella Harding; brother, C.M. "Jr." Harding; sister, Marilou Witt; and husband, James A Kielhorn.
Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 1, in Reed Funeral Chapel in Harrisburg with the Rev. Ron George officiating. Burial will follow in Sunset Lawn Cemetery. Visitation will be from noon to 1 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to First United Methodist Church in Harrisburg. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
