Michael Ray 'Frenchy' Duvall of Marion

MARION - Michael Ray "Frenchy" Duvall, 69, passed away at 3:02 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 6, 2018, in St. Louis University Hospital.

Mike was born Feb. 8, 1948, in Shawneetown to Clyde and Mary Nell (Barley) Duvall.

He married Cathy Boles on Dec. 29, 1993, at Warder Street Baptist Church in Marion, and she survives in Marion.

Mike was retired from AMAX Delta Mine, where he worked many years as a welder prior to his retirement.

He was Baptist and a member of United Mine Workers of America.

Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 10, in Blue Funeral Home in Marion with the Rev. Andy Lee officiating. Burial will follow in Fountains Cemetery, south of Marion. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
